Hi Jason; There is really nothing hard or complicated about changing front pads on your Savage. As you can see, the caliper is held on by two bolts. Remove them and be careful not to damage the hydraulic line. Take out the stationary
pad and you will have room to use a small c clamp or vise grip clamp to squeeze the other pad and the piston back into the caliper. I always press against the pad to prevent possible damage to the piston. From there you simply replace the pads exactly as they came out, slip the caliper back over the disc and bolt the caliper back on. It's actually easier than a car or truck. There is no need to bleed the system if the system has not been opened and air has not been allowed to enter it. Frank M
